Twitch banned Maincast CS:GO Channel

Maincast’s CS: GO channel on Twitch was blocked. Information about this appeared on Twitter StreamerBans.

The streaming service did not report the reason and duration of the block. For the studio, this ban was the first in history. Maincast representatives did not comment on the situation.

On August 11, the Twitch platform blocked the channel of Dota 2 Arena VeRsuta commentator Zurabyan. Previously, the channels of Alexander s1mple Kostylev and his former teammate Daniil Zeus Teslenko were banned.

On August 10, journalist and insider Rod Slasher Breslau revealed that Twitch and Amazon will be rebranding Twitch Prime. It will be named Prime Gaming, similar to Prime Music and Prime Video.

Maincast co-founder Vitaly v1lat Volochay commented on the blocking of the studio’s main CS: GO channel on Twitch. On Twitter, he noted that the streaming platform has limited access to broadcasts during the live broadcast of DreamHack Open Summer 2020 matches.

The Maincast CS: GO channel was blocked on the evening of August 11. The duration and reasons for the ban were not disclosed – Cybersport.ru asked the studio representatives for a comment.

At the time of the blocking, the channel was broadcasting the DreamHack Open Summer 2020 match for America. After blocking, the broadcast was transferred to the second Maincast stream.
