Stewie2k on replacing a coach at Team Liquid: “The team needed a ‘bad guy'”

Team Liquid game coordinator Jake Stewie2k Yip spoke about replacing a coach in the CS: GO roster. According to the American, the team needed a “bad guy” who would not be afraid to point out mistakes to cybersportsmen. Yip spoke about this in an interview after his debut match at ESL One Cologne 2020.

Stewie2k:
“One of the main reasons we took moses is because adreN was mostly a strategic coach, and we felt that we didn’t really need one. We needed a person who would not be afraid to express everything to the players, so that we were responsible for our actions, a kind of “bad guy”.

I tried to figure out what would benefit us the most, what kind of coach we need. I think moses fits because he really cares about the North American teams, he’s an adult and knows what he’s talking about. “

On August 9th, 33-year-old Jason moses O’Toole took over as Liquid’s coaching post. In 2003-2014. he performed on the professional Counter-Strike stage and then went on to work in an analytics studio and cover tournaments.

In the first game at ESL One Cologne 2020, Liquid defeated Cloud9 2: 1.
