Stewie2k: “Now Team Liquid is not what it was in 2019”

CS: GO Team Liquid player Jake Stewie2k Yip commented on the team’s recent performances. In an interview with BLAST, he noted that the North American team recognizes the deteriorating results and is ready to develop, including in European tournaments.

Stewie2k stated that Team Liquid decided to play at BLAST Premier: Fall 2020 Showdown in order to compare their level with teams from another region:

Stewie2k:“We came to Europe realizing that no team should be underestimated. Our task is to become stronger. We know that now Team Liquid is not what it was in 2019. We need to develop, we need to understand at what level we are in relation to European teams. ”

According to Yip, Team Liquid’s current goal is to return to the top 10 in the world rankings:

“Everyone in this roster has always set a very high bar for themselves and the team. Now we are trying to return to the top ten teams. This will be enough for us, but we are sure that we can get into the top 5, it just will take time. The coronavirus pandemic is getting in our way. Now we just try to listen to less criticism and try to develop with the current lineup. ”

Team Liquid started their performance at BLAST Premier: Fall 2020 Showdown by defeating MAD Lions.
