Former CS: GO player Egor markeloff Markelov told why he decided to leave the professional scene. According to him, he was unhappy with the roster of FlipSid3 Tactics. Markelov spoke about this in an interview with former teammate Daniil Zeus Teslenko.
“It was a terrible year 2018, I didn’t make it to the major then, we lost the qualifiers, then we played the minor or something like that, there we flew out in a group like 2-0. In short, nothing worked for us. After that, I freaked out, said that I would not play with such a roster, like, until someone leaves or the roster changes, I will be on the bench. Everyone agreed with me. When he was in reserve, he blissed out unrealistically. Well, you don’t have to wake up anywhere, you don’t have to fly directly to the computer on the DM, and so on. I rested, rested, and the guys with whom I played fell apart. That is, in fact, why I stopped playing – the office itself collapsed. I want to forget these times, as if they never happened ”.
Markeloff also explained why he left Natus Vincere in 2013:
“We couldn’t play, I felt it for a long time. At the end of 1.6, we did not succeed, that is, it lasted for about one and a half to two years. At that moment, an offer came in [from Astana Dragons], and I made a decision. ”
Markelov shared his opinion about the game of Alexander s1mple Kostylev:
“He’s very cool. He has always been like this. He used to have problems with nerves and he often said a lot of unnecessary things, but he always played great. ”
Markeloff started his professional career in 2008 and played his last official match on June 3, 2018. He played in teams such as Natus Vincere, HellRaisers, FlipSid3 Tactics and others.
