Virtus.pro sniper Jami Jame Ali spoke about the team’s form after reaching the group stage of IEM Katowice 2021 in CS: GO. In an interview with Maincast, he noted that the team has yet to improve the game as the tournament progresses.
According to Jame, the team does not perceive IEM Katowice 2021 as a special tournament – for the roster, this is another championship to be won:
“The goal is to win the tournament, like all the tournaments we play. We feel normal and comfortable. Today was better than the first day. Let’s see how it will be, but in principle an ordinary tournament.
I cannot say that we are ready to win, because we are not in our freshest form, but I hope that during the tournament we will gain that individual skill that we lacked on the first day. “
Ali added that there are four strongest teams among the participants in the tournament, but the rest of the rivals also cannot be discounted:
“Each team is unique, each team needs its own approach. There are some grandees – four teams – it will probably be more difficult to play with them than with others. But, again, all the rosters are very strong, now there is incredible competition, which has never happened. “
Virtus.pro defeated Renegades with a score of 2: 0 at the Play-In stage and advanced to the group stage of IEM Katowice 2021. The next rival of the CIS team is still unknown.
IEM Katowice 2021 runs from 16 to 28 February. 24 teams compete for a million dollars, as well as Pro Tour and BLAST Premier points.
