Cybersportsman Mikhail Dosia Stolyarov told how his salary changed with the development of his career. In an interview with Alexey OverDrive Biryukov, he also stated that he was ready to play CS: GO until the age of 40, and also explained how the transition from CS 1.6 to CS: GO went.
Dosia noted that even without training, he does not feel that he is very much out of shape. The player said that the only obstacle to continuing a career can only be health.
Mikhail Dosia Stolyarov:
“I play FPL and I don’t feel like I’m out of shape at all. This is on condition that I hardly train or perform on the professional stage, except with the Mustang Crew, which has not faced the best rosters in the world. If my health permits, I will play until I am 40 ”.
Stolyarov has been performing on the professional Counter-Strike scene since 2007, so in 2012 he had to switch to a new version of the shooter – CS: GO. According to Dosia, it took several months to adapt to the game – before that he was thinking about retirement.
“I had different thoughts. On the one hand, I thought I needed to end my career and find a job. On the other hand, I wanted to give the new CS a chance and play for a while. As it turned out, the craving for the game was stronger – in this regard, my age at that time played an important role.
It took me about three months to get used to it. Not the most pleasant period in my life, but I realized that this was the only way to learn to play better. “
From October 2012 to July 2013, Dosia represented Virtus.pro, after which he moved to Astana Dragons and in March 2014 began playing for HellRaisers. In 2016, Stolyarov joined Gambit Esports, with which he won a number of major competitions, including PGL Major Kraków 2017.
“Virtus.pro paid us $ 300, Astand Dragons offered a thousand dollars, just like HellRaisers. My first salary at Gambit was $ 2,000, and after re-signing it increased 1.5-2 times. It was later linked to our results. The salary was more than $ 10 thousand when we were in the top 5 of the world for several months in a row. In China, conditions were not bad either, but, of course, they offered much less money. “
Dosia returned to the professional scene at the end of 2019 after a long period of inactivity at Gambit. Stolyarov accepted the offer from the Chinese club OneThree.TSG, but in April 2020 announced the opening of the Mustang crew. In July, the player announced his departure from the starting roster of the team.
