CEO and coach of Gambit Esports: “The goal of the team is to gain a foothold in the top five”

Gambit Esports CS: GO coach and club director Konstantin Groove Pikiner told how he manages to combine these positions.

“It is logical that I became a mentor for Gambit Esports. I have spent many years coaching Counter-Strike 1.6. Since the inception of Gambit Youngsters, I have been actively involved in the formation of the team’s tactics, so we did not have to make drastic changes. I will coach the team until the suspension period F_1N expires until June 20, 2021.

I can only combine the roles of CEO and coach because of the pandemic. Now I don’t have to constantly go to tournaments with Gambit Esports rosters, so I have free time that I use to work with our teams. ”

Groove also talked about the goals of the CS: GO club roster.

“Despite the fact that Gambit was ranked 19th in the world before the start of the tournament, we knew that our real possibilities were higher. We could already beat the top 10 teams. We hoped to advance to the playoffs of IEM Katowice and get into the top six teams of the tournament. Now the team’s goal is to gain a foothold in the top five in the world. ”

Earlier, Gambit Esports received an invite to BLAST Premier: Spring Showdown 2021 in CS: GO. The championship will feature 16 teams – six participants in the group stage and seven winners of the regional qualifiers. The tournament will take place from 13 to 18 April. In addition to slots in the final stage of the season, participants will compete for $ 162.5 thousand and league points.
