Natus Vincere player Kirill Boombl4 Mikhailov explained why his team lost to mousesports on the first map of the ESL Pro League Season 12 CS: GO playoff match. In an interview with Maincast, he also spoke about the second half of the game on Inferno.
Boombl4 noted that NAVI themselves allowed mousesports to start a comeback. In his opinion, the opponents got the opportunity to implement their tactics, and therefore were able to reach the 13:16 score on Inferno.
“In fact, we just gave them a lot of freedom. They made their rounds, and we made mistakes – then the save was simple. I don’t know, such a match happens once out of ten, when the first half is 13: 2, and it goes back like that ”.
Mikhailov said that NAVI did not keep up with the opponent on the first map and, despite taking several rounds, did not manage to turn the tide of the match:
“They played very fast and created their own pace. I can say for myself that I was, perhaps, not focused enough, and they pressed to the end. Their attack went round after round very quickly. Perhaps because there was a break, they could not immediately join the game like that. Then they pulled themselves together, took five or six rounds, gave one stupid round, when the bomb was not heard at another site.
One round didn’t work out for the attack either – the very first buy. It could have been key, giving us a chance to get back into the game, but we couldn’t win it against farming. They strengthened the economy and it was hard to keep playing. “
Natus Vincere defeated mousesports with a score of 2: 1 in the upper bracket of ESL Pro League Season 12. In the next round, the CIS team will face the best of the Complexity Gaming pair – ENCE eSports. Finn’s karrigan Andersen’s team will continue to fight in the lower bracket of the playoffs.
ESL Pro League Season 12 for Europe runs online from September 1 to October 4. 16 teams compete for $ 450,000
