The organizers of BLAST Premier: Fall 2020 CS: GO announced that they will change the rules of the championship – they will add two points regulating the control over the actions of mentors during matches. BLAST employee Robert Mulgan announced this on Twitter.
Mentors will be required to broadcast events from their championship administration screen during the game. In addition, trainers must install a special anti-cheat MOss.
These rules were adopted due to a scandal with a camera bug, which was used by 37 mentors of professional CS: GO teams. Many coaches got bans at championships from ESL, DreamHack, BLAST and WePlay! for a period of several weeks to three years.
The regular season of BLAST Premier: Fall 2020 runs from October 26 to November 4 online. 12 teams compete for a prize pool of $ 150,000 and BLAST Premier points.
Also, tournament operator BLAST announced the schedule of CS: GO competitions for 2021. The company plans to host three championships in total.
The BLAST Premier spring season: Spring 2021 starts on February 4 and will last until June 20. The autumn BLAST Premier: Fall 2021 competition will be held from August 26 to November 28. The season finale will take place on December 14-18.
12 BLAST league members will perform in 2021 as well. The tournament operator also said it expects more than 100 teams to participate in various qualifiers for the main events. According to BLAST, the company expects to play more matches next season than this one.
