Andrey B1ad3 Gorodenskiy commented on the defeat of Natus Vincere in matches at ESL Pro League Season 11 on CS: GO. The team coach noted that online the composition makes decisions more slowly and shoots worse. In a vlog on the team channel, he also explained that NAVI had not yet proved the status of the best team in the world.
According to Gorodensky, weaker teams get an additional advantage online – they don’t feel the pressure that exists in LAN tournaments.
“It can be seen that the team plays weaker online – this is a fact. Some decisions are made differently. There is no charge that is on the LAN. Online as a whole always differs from LAN in that weaker teams get additional opportunities because they don’t feel any pressure: they shoot well online, everything is very comfortable.
If on LAN we shoot with most teams and three or four teams in the world can shoot us, then online even teams from the top 20 can shoot us, and this can be seen. At some moments, it’s not enough to squeeze a little fragment. This is the main minus – we do not always make clear decisions online after the exchange, not as fast as we do on the LAN. Other teams play comfortably, conveniently, do everything according to their preparations and play with us on equal footing. ”
The NAVI trainer noted that the status of the best team in the world can only be obtained by winning several major championships in a row. At the moment, the first place in the HLTV.org ranking for the roster is just numbers.
“We take first place in the HLTV ranking, but that doesn’t mean anything. Just the numbers that are added change. We understand that the first place in the ranking does not mean that we are the best in the world. We were the best at the tournament in Katowice. In order to be the best in the world, you need to win many tournaments in a row. I think we will come to this if each player will do everything possible to move forward and develop every day. ”
Natus Vincere took first place in the HLTV.org ranking after winning the IEM Katowice 2020. Since March 17, the team has been performing at the ESL Pro League Season 11, which takes place online. The team lost to North and BIG – both meetings ended with a score of 0: 2. In the next match on March 21 at 20:20 Moscow time, NAVI will compete with forZe.
